A LIFE THAT DOESN’T FIT

My name is JC Candanedo and I am a London-based Visual Artist. This is my fashion photography story called A Life That Doesn’t Fit, in which I explored the feeling of not being able to make sense of the life we are living. For people struggling with their mental health, coping with everyday challenges can cause pain, loneliness, anger and an overall feeling of weight and separation.

The stylist and I tried to recreate that uncomfortable feeling by using contrasting styling and poses and clothes that looked awkward and almost out of place.

The series was created in collaboration with stylist Lessette Shei, Makeup Artist Christiana Amankrah and models Lukas Mokka and Joao Afonso from Space Model Management.
